葛がモチーフです。大きく厚みのある葉、蔓や枯れた葉の形の面白さに注目して描きました。板の風合いを生かして、主に墨を使って描きました。部分的に蜜蝋を利用した絵の具で透明感のある色をつけています。落ち着いた、しかし深みのある色味を出すため工夫しています。
The motif is arrowroots. I focused on the interesting shapes of the large, thick leaves, vines and withered leaves. I used mainly ink to draw, taking advantage of the texture of the board. I used beeswax paint in some areas to give it a translucent color. I tried to create a calm, yet deep color.
